  1. This articles talks about how Muslims are being discriminated at work. If you read this article the person seen in the top section of this article, whose name is Mohammad K. has felt discrimination at the place where he works. Mr. Mohammad apparently has faced or felt discrimination around his work environment. According to the stats, not only has Mr. Mohammad felt discriminated but a lot of other Muslims around the whole country feel the same way.
After the September 11 attacks at the World Trade Center, Muslims have faced a lot of heat from people, other than Muslims. Even when I go to work sometimes, my coworkers jokingly say, "I don't want to mess with you, you might throw a bomb on my house, you might shoot me." When I hear these things, it's sometimes understandable; because they are you're coworkers, so they have that right to mess with you sometimes. But on the other hand, it feels like I have just been discriminated. I mean is this what people feel that Islam is about? Islam symbolizes peace and love.
It's said in this article, that there will be a new record set, for complaints of Muslims workers being discriminated.
Now you have a pastor who is threatening of burning the Quran, just because he is against Islam. We have a pastor telling us that, “If the location for building the mosque in Manhattan won't change, then the Quran will be burnt." Could you imagine the chaos that will arise if that really were to happen? Nobody would appreciate their Holy book to be burned, no matter how bad they are.
This article mentions the hard, but honest truth that when Muslims go to work, there is some sort of difference felt among workers. It also mentions the fact, how Muslims are being called names such as “Osama" or "Taliban". I mean is that the respect that is given to us nowadays.
Nevertheless, I felt that this was a great article to show the discrimination that Muslims face while going to work. This article pertains to class because we are learning about justice. But there is injustice being done, by some people. How is a Muslim going to face to go to work, when he knows that his coworkers will call him all sorts of names, that don't pertain to him? This is injustice. This is a criminal activity. People will have to pay the fines, just like the Pace Services had to pay hi Mr. Mohammad over $61,000 just to settle a case for calling him a terrorist.
